Labour's Bridget Phillipson has claimed racism has become 'normal' in Britain.
The women and equalities minister said it was part of her job to 'challenge' the 'normalising' of racism in the UK, as well as to 'celebrate' Britain as a 'tolerant' nation.
Ms Phillipson said she was 'profoundly worried about what we're seeing in terms of misogyny across society'.
'I worry about our daughters. I worry about the kind of world that they're growing up into,' she said.
Ms Phillipson said there was a 'normalisation' of attitudes through online sites with social media allowing people to find others who 'not just share their views but will also encourage them to dive further into what becomes really a cesspit'.
She added this allows people 'to think that what was once a view that people wouldn't have spoken out loud in polite conversation, because they see it and talk about it online, it becomes normal and then that does seep into what happens in the real world'.
'We had Nick Timothy, who said some appalling things about Muslim prayer. Apparently I'm calling him names when I say that's racist.
'I think it is fundamentally racist because I don't think he would say that about any other group.'
Responding to Ms Phillipson's comments, Mr Timothy posted on X: 'If Phillipson can identify the racial groups to whom I was racist, she can call me racist.
'If she can’t, she’ll go on sounding stupid. And I’ll go on saying mass Muslim prayer in public spaces is an act of domination.
'Still, fair play for making the most of her demotion.'
Resist Comment. Let's unpick what Phillipson has said.
1. Racism is normalised. If it is that's because successive governments have sold the British public the concept of multi-culturism - a concept that, let's be honest, most people don't want.
2. If people complain about other cultures they're accused of racism - even when these other cultures mass rape under-aged girls, commit acts of terrorism, bully and intimidate people who criticise their so-called religion (mainly islam).
3. She talks about poor attitudes towards women. Has she considered muslim attitudes towards women? She needs to look at what the Taliban do in Afghanistan, the theocracy in Iran, the muslim terrorist groups in Africa. She would probably say that these countries are not Britain. No, they're not - but sell out the British anymore and we could soon be an islamic state with all its attendant evils.
Philipson is a disgrace and a traitor: she has no right to call herself British.
