Nigel Farage has called for mass muslim prayer to be banned in public after hundreds of worshippers gathered in Trafalgar Square.
Sir Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, was among thousands of people to attend the prayer event on Monday, which the Ramadan Tent Project organised to mark the end of fasting.
Delivering a speech to his Scottish party’s conference on Thursday, Mr Farage described the event as a “provocative demonstration” and a “wake-up call and a warning to everybody”.The Ramadan Tent Project has hosted 20 open iftar meals to mark the end of the Ramadan fast, with its stated aim to improve relations between communities.
During the conference in Bishopton, Renfrewshire, Mr Farage said: “We’ve always been open to those of different faiths, persuasions and beliefs, coming to our country and having their own private observance, but integrating public and, to be honest, the Jewish community is probably the best example I can think of that.
“But mass public praying, mass chanting of Islamic slogans in Trafalgar Square was a shock, until you learn that the same group, the Ramadan Tent Project, has done it in Coventry Cathedral. They’ve done it in London’s Guildhall. They’ve done it in the Victoria and Albert Museum. “Folks, if it hasn’t come to Scotland yet, it will come soon. This is an open, deliberate, wilful attempt, not at the private observance of a different religion, but the attempt to overtake, intimidate and dominate our way of life, and it is funded by the taxpayer.“£44m last year of taxpayers’ money went to fund projects like this. Now we are fair, reasonable, tolerant people, but we will not put up with this.”
Comment: Farage is absolutely right. All muslim public prayers should be banned. Hundreds of thousands of men sacrificed their lives in two world wars to save this country. This is why we don't want to give the country to these sub-human muslims and the death-cult known as islam. They should all be re-patriated to the countries of their origins, and all mosques given over to alternative use.
